DSM IV vs DSM V

Great podcast and interesting discussion about differing criteria and how girls get screwed, again, by the criteria.

Sadly, women are diagnosed later or not at all because we have different symptoms. We probably respond differently to treatment as well. It’s good, obviously, to research and check how the different criteria impact diagnosis for certain groups, like Aspies and females. But unless that translates into changing the criteria down the line, fat lot of good it does for us now.

And more research on gender differences.
